Miscellaneous Material (विविध पदार्थ )
इंजीनियरिंग में बहुत से विविध पदार्थ प्रयोग किये जाते है जो निम्नलिखित प्रकार से हैं -
1 . अपघर्षक पदार्थ (abrasive Material )
अपघर्षक पदार्थो का उपयोग समान्यतः ग्राइंडिंग पट्टियों आदि के निर्माण में किया जाता है | ये तेज कोरो(sharp edge )
वाले छोटे -छोटे कणों के रूप में होते है तथा काफी कठोर होते हैं | इन छोटे -छोटे कणो के बंधक पदार्थ (Bonding material) के साथ मिलाकर ग्राइंडिंग पहिया बनाया जाता है | ये पार्ट्स को घिसने या सतह को साफ एवं परिस्कृत करने में उपयोग में लाये जाते हैं |
समान्यता प्राकृतिक अपघर्षक पदार्थ जैसे क्वार्ट्ज़ (Quartz),एमरी ,(Emery), तथा कोरण्डम का उपयोग ग्राइंडिंग पहियों को बनाने में किया जाता है | समान्यता कृतिम अपघर्षक पदार्थ जैसे सिलिकॉन कार्बाइड तथा एलुमिनियम ऑक्साइड का उपयोग ग्राइंडिंग पट्टिया बनाने में किया जाता है |
अपघर्षक पदार्थो के प्रकार (Type of abrasive material)
अपघर्षक पदार्थ दो प्रकार के होते है -
( a) प्राकृतिक अपघर्षक पदार्थ
(b) कृतिम अपघर्षक पदार्थ

Many different materials are used in engineering which are as follows -
1 . Abrasive Material
Abrasive materials are generally used in the manufacture of grinding strips etc. This sharp edge They are in the form of small particles and are quite hard. The grinding wheel is made by mixing these small particles with the bonding material. These are used to rub parts or to clean and refine surfaces. Generally, natural abrasive materials such as quartz, emery, and corundum are used to make grinding wheels. Generally, synthetic abrasives such as silicon carbide and aluminum oxide are used to make grinding plates.
Type of abrasive material
There are two types of abrasive materials -
(a) natural abrasive material
(b) artificial abrasive material
